The Florida Panthers have taken down the 65-win Boston Bruins and the ultra-star powered Toronto Maple Leafs. Unfortunately, they have met their match. Without goal scoring forwards Max Pacioretty and Andrei Svechnikov, the Carolina Hurricanes were still able to score 24 goals in 5 games. They have the best defensive core left in this year's playoffs and a goaltender who has remained steady. The Panthers success hinges on Matthew Tkachuk’s ability to score goals and wear down defenders. Sergei Bobrovsky also needs to replicate his performance against the Leafs, or the Hurricanes will be punching their ticket to the cup final. Knights vs Stars: Stars win 4-3

A battle between two deep forward groups and defensive cores anchored by one star each, Miro Heiskanen and Alex Pietrangelo. The difference in this series is the men between the pipes. Jake Oettinger of the Dallas Stars is significantly better than Vegas Golden Knights netminders Adin Hill and Laurent Brossoit. With the ageless wonder Joe Pavelski scoring at will and Jack Eichel controlling play in the offensive zone, this series will come down to goaltending and special teams. The Stars powerplay and penalty kill have been significantly better than the Knights which will be the reason that the Stars come out on top on seven games.
